The activities of PAL Wiping Systems s.r.o. is the development, manufacture and sale of products for the automotive industry, for the needs of customers in the Czech Republic and abroad, including all related services from service, selling services to manufacturing tools and special machines for production.
 

For nearly sixty years of existence the company whose production program had always been intensive products for accuracy, durability and reliability is one of the major prerequisites for this activity.

The foundation of the enterprise is dated back to May 1922, when repair workshops for military communication materials, named Military Telegraph Workshops, were established in Prague – Pohořelec. In 1926 the construction of the new workshops was completed; the present seat of the company in Prague – Kbely, to where the Military Telegraph Workshops were moved and where at the same year serial production of telephone and telegraph devices for the needs of the Czechoslovak army started in the same year. In the period between World War I and World War II the production of various highly sophisticated appliances expanded, including wireless transmitters, telephone centrals, measuring instruments for direction finders, cipher devices, transformers, small motors and other products.

In the years from 1939 to 1945 the Military Telegraph Workshops were included in a German company of Ostmarkwerke, an armament enterprise belonging to the German army.In May 1945, the company management decided to concentrate its activities on meeting the needs of the reconstructed Czechslovak motor industry. Production od sparking plugs, fly-wheel magnetos, windscreen wipers and starters began in that year and the product range was extended.
